This is a wonderful advancement in technology that allows me to charge more that one small electronic device at once. Saves time and electricity. It looks good, too--and works like it's advertised.Thanks, Anna
but now for the caveat. Everything worked great out of the box and despite what a previous reviewer said, I can confirm this does in fact charge the the third generation iPod touch. This charger was a fantastic value for me as we have Motorola phones, various iPods with dock connectors, and even a 2G shuffle in the household and all of these cables were included in the package(). As everyone has mentioned, the blue LED on this thing is BLINDINGLY bright at night. Also keep in mind that the included cables are charge only - they lack the pins for data. No biggie for me as I plan to leave them dedicated for charging anyway.So I am extremely pleased with this product during the day. I'm not sure what the designers were thinking as this thing could sink ships if one lived near a shore. That kept this from being a five star review from me, so unless you want to be responsible for a string of shipwrecks, either look into Griffin's version which is certainly not as generous with the included cables, or as Homer Simpson would do, place a sticker over the LED.
This is the best it save packing double of everything, but the light is bright at night
It charges two USB things as once. I don't know if it is faster or slower than the OEM charger since I never bought it. The blue light is super bright, but I don't use it at night so I could care less.
It fried my ipod shuffle, so I'm not going to try it with anything else. Hopefully I just got a dud.
